My Striking Scorpions have been assembled with rocks modelled on the bases to make it appear as though they are stalking through cover to reach their prey. I have also converted some of the squad to better represent the gender equality in the Eldar forces; accordingly there are six male and four female Striking Scorpions in my squad. I have also made subtle changes to the poses of some of the models, to provide more variety.
5. A converted female Striking Scorpion. The soulstone was carefully removed from the left of the chest and repositioned centrally. The chestplate was filed down and then remodelled in Green Stuff.
6. The planned colour scheme for my Striking Scorpions.
7. My first completed Striking Scorpion. The colours are slightly different from my original concept - all of the gold trim has been replaced with silver and the green on the armour is a bit brighter. Overall I'm happy with the result.
8. Another angle of the completed test miniature.
9. A close-up of the chainsword.
10. Rear view of the first completed Striking Scorpion.
11. Another female Striking Scorpion conversion. The right arm and left leg have been repositioned as well.
12. A third female Striking Scorpion, with a remodelled right arm.
13. The fourth and final female member of the Striking Scorpion squad.
14. The ninth member of the squad has been subtly converted so that he is raising his right arm.
15. The final member of the squad has been assembled almost unaltered, with just a slight change to the position of the right arm.
