eldar exodites dragon knights squad 1

This squad was my first foray into Exodite conversions and I am very pleased with how they turned out. These Dragon Knights are designed to be used as proxy miniatures for the Craftworld Shining Spears, as this unit most closely matches the description of the lance-wielding Dragon Knights in the Exodite background material. A Dragon Knight Lord substitutes for the Exarch.

1. The first squad member was based on this piece of artwork that I created.

I cut away the long robes from the left leg. I removed the spurs from the heels. This ribbon came from the Wraithlord kit. This part of the laser lance was originally part of a Bright Lance. The torso of the Dragon Rider came from a Dire Avenger, with the backpack part cut away. Eldar Exodite Dragon Knight conversion

I used a Ranger backpack as a saddlebag. This piece of scenery from the War Walker kit was added to the base. The Dark Elf symbols were replaced using Eldar runes and gems from the Guardian and Dire Avenger kits. This Dire Avenger Exarch sword was cut in half and glued behind the saddlebag to appear like a longer sabre. Eldar Exodite Dragon conversion
