wazdakka gutzmek

Back when I first collected Warhammer 40,000, I had a sizeable force of Orks. Most of them have been sold off, given away or lost over the intervening years, but I still have my conversion of Wazdakka Gutzmek. This was probably my first ever ambitious conversion; I made it at a time when I didn't even know what Green Stuff was and most of my conversions were kit-bashes using mail-order components from multiple kits. I was very proud of this conversion at the time - mainly because it meant that I could field Wazdakka in games (he was a tough customer back in 2nd edition). My favourite memory of him involved him cutting across a Leman Russ Demolisher, which in turn fired at him, missed, and was promptly destroyed as the shell scattered backwards and landed square on the Demolisher itself.
