Eldar Firestorm turret
Using magnets to attach the turrets of my Falcons to the hull enables me to switch between different Falcon variants simply by swapping the turrets. The Firestorm turret produced by Forge World, like so many of their Eldar kits, is fantastically designed and a beautiful kit to look at. Due to its specialised anti-aircraft role, I only have a single Firestorm turret in my collection.Date: 2008 - present (work-in-progress)
Components: 1x Firestorm Forge World kit, 1x Forge World Eldar Hornet pilot, neodymium magnets (various sizes), brass rod, Green Stuff

The crewman has not yet been glued in place, so that he can be removed and painted separately first.

1. The Firestorm turret, assembled and undercoated.
I bent a length of brass rod to create a spacer so that the turret rotates more smoothly.
The canopy is held in place by tiny neodymium magnets.

2. A close-up of the other Firestorm turret and the magnetic canopy (this technique has been used extensively on my vehicles).

3. The completed Firestorm turret on one of my converted Type II Falcon hulls.
