eldar harlequin shadowseers
The Eldar Shadowseer miniatures have an enigmatic design. I have two metal Shadowseers and one of the new plastic Shadowseers.date: 2008-present (work-in-progress)

1. The first Shadowseer. Apart from the addition of a scenery piece to the base (from the War Walker kit), this miniature is virtually unaltered.
This hand was removed from a Warlock's two-handed witchblade.
The staff head and base were removed and attached to a straightened paperclip.
The two ribbons were cut away from the miniature and bent outwards to give a very different look.
2. My two Shadowseers side-by-side. The one on the right has been converted.
The new staff was bulked out using Green Stuff.
The Shadowseer's left hand, which originally held the staff, was replaced with a closed fist.
3. The converted Shadowseer, nearing completion.
I used Green Stuff to fill in the missing details after I cut the ribbons away from the Shadowseer's feet.

5. The 2nd Shadowseer, ready for painting. The model has been based and the left arm replaced with one from the plastic Troupe kit with a Neuro-disruptor.

7. The third and final Shadowseer is virtually unaltered from the standard plastic kit.
8. Close-up of the hand holding the Neuro-disruptor. I have re-modelled the little finger in Green Stuff so that it is gripping the handle, rather than sticking out (a design decision that I wasn't keen on).
9. The third Shadowseer has now been undercoated.
