eldar eclipse cruiser

Craftworld Miruaun has a long history of working with (and occasionally repelling) Corsair fleets, so it made sense to me that some Corsair vessels would end up as permanent additions to the Miruanian navy. I made a few minor alterations to this Corsair Eclipse Cruiser, adding a magnetised flying base and replacing the gun barrels.

1. The assembled Eclipse Cruiser. This was the second of my Battlefleet Gothic vessels to be assembled, after the Shadow Cruiser.

2. A close-up of the prow gun batteries. Similar to the Shadow Cruiser, I removed the original metal barrels and replaced them with short lengths of brass rod to allow the barrels to be elevated, rather than lying flat on the hull. The main gun was left alone as that was already elevated.

A thick magnet was recessed into the bottom of the ship. This allows the flying stand to be removed and prevents breakages if the heavy model gets knocked.

This detailing on the underside of the hull wasn't symmetrical, so I filled in the original panel lines with Milliput and then etched new ones into the metal using a needle file.
