1. This sorry-looking eBay purchase was the basis for my Nimbus crusier conversion.

2. The basic shape of the Nimbus crusier. It has fewer cannons on its upper hull than the Shadow cruiser that it is based on.

3. View of the Nimbus from its port side.

4. A close-up of the prow, highlighting the elevated guns that feature on all of my larger Battlefleet Gothic ships.

5. The fully-assembled Nimbus cruiser.

6. I sculpted aditional detail on the underside of the model using White Milliput. The small holes at the front are meant to represent multiple torpedo launch tubes.

7. Alternative view of the cruiser.

8. Port-side view of the Nimbus cruiser.

9. Starboard-side view of the Nimbus cruiser.

10. The assembled and undercoated model, ready for painting.

11. Port view of the undercoated conversion.

12. Port view of the Nimbus, after painting.

13. Starboard view of the finished model.

14. A close-up view of the forward torpedo tubes and gun batteries.

15. This conversion turned out nicely; especially considering the state of the original eBay purchase!

16. Rear port-side quarter view, showing the solar sails and engines.

17. Rear starboard-side quarter.
