The Cry of the Wind
The new, plastic version of Baharroth is a beautiful model. It subtly updates the original design, whilst retaining the same basic pose. My only realy change was to mount the model on a proper flying base to give more of an impression of flight, rather than having him leaping from ruins.Date: 2026 - present (work-in-progress)
Components: 1x Baharroth, 1x curved flying base stem, 1x Swooping Hawk scenic base element, cork, plasticard, Green Stuff, 40mm round base

The tip of the flying base stem was carefully filed down to a point so that it fits snugly into the hole on the back of the wings, ensuring strong contact for when it is later glued in position.
The bottom of the stem was chopped away to fit better on the rock below.
A stack of different thicknesses of plasticard was used to form the basis of a rock.
5. An early work-in-progress shot of the scenic base.
This piece of ruined scenery was taken from the Swooping Hawk kit. It is a lot lower than the ruins that Baharroth is normally leaping from, which gives a better impression of vertical height by increasing the distance between Baharroth's feet and the top of the scenery.
I used Green Stuff to sculpt detail on the plasticard and cork rocks on the base.
